Recap of two weeks.
I got back into the habit of not writing everyday again. This is horrible. Now I'm going to have to remember what happened in what order. Brief summary of everything I suppose, sorry.
Maggie, Beatrice, Jesse, Bertrand and I went to Delftshaven? and the Hague via bike ride. It was the long bike ride that Maggie had been talking about. I was really excited. I was beginning to enjoy bike riding. I'm not sure why it felt so long but in reality, it was a short distance away. It was probably because we stopped and took pictures, ate fried seafood, and went to a bar and day drank. It was lovely. Then we set off to the Hague. I'm not sure where we went wrong but we rode into this dull and sad town that everyone sort of had their heads down as they walked. It was still cool to be in a new place but it was becoming more of a stressful/tiring day. We met up with Beatrice's friend, who was kind enough to spend a few hours with us and guide us. We went to a bar and drank. I should really keep track of the names of these bars. Afterwards, we went towards the train station to get home and it was just really annoying that the people working there kept sending us back and forth between the train and intercity bus. We just wanted to get on something to bring us back, please! They tried to tell us that the reason why they wouldn't let us through was because we couldn't bring our bikes onto the train. Fuck that! We came back and the people were gone. We discreetly got on without them knowing. Went home-passed out.
The next night Jesse, one of the guys that lives on the other side of our building had drinks at his flat and then had everyone go out. It was a really nice time. We went from Bazaar to White Monkey to a random bar to Blender. By Blender had an entry fee and we already checked out the place, it was really crowded. The chances of finding a place to sit was slim.
I don't know how many days later this was but we hosted pre-drinks in our flat before going to a zine sale at BAR. It was cool! I forget why we left but we ended up looking for another place but everywhere checked for IDs and we have two people under twenty-one so we just ended up at a bar we had been previously. And then we had Kapsalon and apparently a couple people felt gross the next day. Afterwards, Bert had another basement party to go to and invited us. People decided not to go because it was getting late and they were not in the state of mind to bike all the way there. I didn't realize how far it was until we started biking. That's when Evan, Jesse, and I decided to bail mid-bike ride. It was for the best. Let's say, hypothetically, I didn't feel well so I wanted to bike home.. where the fuck was I in the first place? How did I even get here? I would have been the party pooper that would need someone to help me home.
For class, we made a colorful table out of painted wood planks we found lying around. It didn't come together until everyone brought in their colorful food. If I had my iPhone I would have pictures, it was really amazing. And then we had an elective to go to on Tuesday. It was called Cadavre Exquiste? Something along those lines. It wasn't what I expected so I just left my friends and went home. I wanted an elective though because I felt as though I had too much free time. I needed some sort of structure so I went to the Future Thinking class. Not until I got there I saw that Bert, Clara, Holly, Sarah, Sean, and a couple other people that I knew was in the class too. It was great though, it was exactly the class that I needed. I'm contemplating if I still want to check out Paper, Strings, and Electronic things as well or not.
Jesse, Maggie, and I have been getting together to practice for this open mic that Jesse invited us too. I am peeing myself from being so nervous. Let's hope I don't pee on stage! Seriously though I'm crossing my fingers, please don't let that happen.
